Have you considered what a typical 7 year old girl is doing this month? In Haiti, she spends her time with a hungry belly, worrying about when her next meal will be. Her parents are both unemployed. Her only choice is to stay at home and go hungry, sometimes without food for days. Instead of begging her parents for a trip to the mall, she asks them to go to school. She longs for an education, but her parents can’t afford it, so they have to tell her no. This is why, Jou Nouvo was founded.

Even the Founder, Dina Creiger has discovered that sometimes happiness happens in the most unexpected places.
When strep throat is left untreated, it can develop into rheumatic heart disease (RHD). In sub-Saharan Africa, where strep throat largely goes untreated, it has led to an estimated 275,000 premature deaths occurring each year. It’s estimated that there are more than 40,000 teens and young adults with undiagnosed RHD in Rwanda.
